Supergun MAK Strike - the new ArcadeForge Supergun Version

Find here some pics of the assembled pcb.

Supergun MAK Strike is available in the http://www.aracdeforgede

All the user interface is now reachable from the side of the PCB. This allows to make much more nicer enclosure and improves the usability.

Improved SCART support is now designed. It switches automatically to RGB and AV mode.

This new supergun PCB supports Stereo Audio and Mono audio. It has a switch one can select between Stereo or Mono.

My supergun offers sound interface via Audio SCART and two audio chinch cinch plugs.

Since nearly all of the arcade PCBs or Neogeo MVS system deliver pre-amped sound signals one has to tale care not to harm their TV equipment. Most user try not to turn their sound volume to max hoping that their home entertainment equipment will not damaged. I`ve now foreseen an Audio Attentuation Circuit  in this supergun that protect connected media gear.

All signals and power supply are available via 5mm Screw Terminals.

Second Power Supply Plug is a standard PC Power Supply Unit plug.

On and off switch status  will be indicated by a power LED.

Besides the screw terminals this supergun MAK offer NEOGEO compatible controller ports.

One has five buttons to controll the arcade PCB via the supergun pcb : START Playe 1, COIN, START Player 2, Test and Service Tactile Press Button.

The colors can be adjusted by using RGB 3 channel potentiometer with one axle. This 3 channel potentiometer can be controlled by one axle. Mostly all know supergun uses three different potentiometer. Thus makes it difficult to achieve a clear white level on the screen. By using only one axle for all colors at same time this clear white level is no issue anymore.

But the best is coming now: This supergun PCB offer a 5V voltage display. Yes, simply this. Benefit from this new feature and tune the 5V accordingly to your arcade PCB. There is no need for messing around with an external Multimeter.

The new ArcadeForge Supergun MAK comes with extended 6 Button Jamma Pinout.

Hi,
I think the new MAK Strike is great, can't wait to buy one in a very nice and solid enclosure!

I have a question: is this supergun 100% with MVS connector? I've read that connecting a MVS (i.e. 2 or 4 slot) to Jamma will work but will damage the board.
So maybe this new MAK Strike can be connected to a MVS 2 or 4 slot without damaging it?

Thanks

Hey, thanks for the kind words. both mak strikes are comatible to mvs. Stereo option can be choosen as well. For the multi slots boards button 5 and 6 can be used for the selecting the games :)

On this link:

Beginners Guide to MVS

...at chapter "Running JAMMA in your MVS cabinet" they say:

" The MVS cabinet is wired for stereo audio and the differences in the cabling causes damage to the audio amplifier IC chip on the JAMMA board.
The damage is usually not immediate but will occur if the board is run for a long while. The difference in wiring results in the audio amplifier IC chip getting hot enough to blister fingers and fail."

What I'm asking is: the same risk of damage is applicable to a MVS multi-slot connected to a MAK Strike (I have yet the first version).

Thanks

Ops, it was a question, I forgot the "?" :D

For this version I have foreseen stereo support on jamma pin 10 and L. The first version of mak strike was assembled only to use mono. But thr stereo pin was not touched. Nevertheless I have improved the design here with selectable mono and stereo plus audio attentuation. Thus this supergun is one of the most elaborated designs on the market.

Summarizing : there is no risk of damaging your mvs gear using supergun mak strike
